Technical information

The
Pro Comp v3
is a high performance upgrade
kit for the serious paintball player that wants to compete with Mags &
Cockers. It includes a complete upper & lower bolt system. The lower bolt
weighs only 3.5 OZ, the stock bolt weighs 9 oz. The lower bolt, main spring
and rear plug are integrated into one component.
The O-ringless upper bolt is made of low
friction Delrin. Its more reliable than a bolt with O-rings that can
swell. In the event of a ball chop a recess has been machined into the
upper bolt to allow room for the shell so it won't jam the gun. The
Pro Comp v3
upper bolt has a precision .684 OD that
dramatically increases efficiency nearly eliminating ball bobble in the feed
port for improved ball feeding and eliminating the need for a power feed.
You can actually fire the gun with the feed adapter full of balls (hopper
off) and the balls won't fly out, try that with your VM68. The stock bolt
has a .670 -.675 OD allowing alot more leakage into the feed port causing
ball bobble in the feed port which causes ball chops and inefficiency. The
face of our upper bolt has a special cupped seat to cradle the ball, and is
designed with a internal expansion area that allows the CO2 expand before it
hits the ball which gives the ball a push with a cushion of air for less
ball distortion for better accuracy and less in gun ball breakage, instead
of a sharp jab like the stock bolt or a venturi bolt does. Our upper bolt
also has a tournament legal rear external non click velocity adjuster so you
can precisely set your velocity where ever you like, no more down the barrel
adjustments. The gun is cocked from the back of the gun, the cocking knob is
locked in place and does not move when gun is shooting. The upper bolt,
velocity adjuster and cocking knob are also integrated into one component.
Since the gun is now cocked from the back the
sides of the gun are completely sealed with two black anodized aluminum
covers that are form fitted to the gun and have
vm68 Pro Comp v3
lazer engraved on them, they are held in place permanently with a special
very high bond double sided epoxy tape making the gun quieter and keeping
dirt out, and they look awesome!.
With the
Pro Comp v3
light weight, low friction internal upgrade, the cyclic rate of fire is
greatly increased with almost zero felt recoil, making the gun super smooth
and very accurate under rapid fire conditions. The timing of the upper and
lower bolts have been drastically altered allowing the gun to only need
approximately 250psi to operate with out going full auto. Note test specs
below. (A stock VM68 needs aprox. 650psi to operate properly).
The kit includes a trigger upgrade that
shortens trigger pull by aprox. half of the stock trigger.
Extensive tournament level testing has allowed
us to bring all these proven benefits into one kit that will make you think
your shooting a different gun!

NOTE:
This kit does require some minor receiver and
trigger preparation.
1)
Installing the
Pro Comp v3 kit will lighten the
VM68 by almost a half pound, making a stock VM68 w/o a barrel go from 3 lbs
5 oz down to 2 lbs 14 oz.
2) No
screws to field strip the gun, just one quick strip pin and the upper and
lower bolts slide out, no spring to wrestle with, just two parts to clean,
and you can field strip and reassemble in less than 30 seconds.
3) Less
primary sear wear or breakage because of the lighter upper and lower bolts.
4)
Excellent cold weather operation because of lower operating pressures.
5) External
velocity adjustment that can be precisely set with a standard 3/16 in. hex
wrench. (Allen wrench)
6) Much
faster cyclic rate of fire.
7) Sealed
sides make gun quiet and keeps dirt out.
8)
Simplicity, reliability and consistency, we've retained the VM68
dependability.
9)
Increased shot to shot velocity consistency and drastically reduced gun
recoil produce a marked increase in accuracy, especially under rapid fire.
10) Greater
air efficiency.
11) Upper
bolt design dramatically reduces ball breaks in the gun and increases
accuracy.
12)
Shorter trigger pull increases rate of fire.
Pressure verses velocity test. (Note: Do
to so many variables with each gun, ambient temperatures, different barrels,
brands of paintballs ect. results may vary.) The test was performed using
CO2 with a regulator to adjust pressure. Ambient temp was approximately 55
degrees F. The gun tested used a stock valve set at the 12 o'clock
position.
