Vm Empire
Note:
If you have modified the air transfer port and or valve on your Vm 68
you mite have problems that are not covered in this guide
1. Check you tank.
a. Is it full?
No. Get a full tank and
test.
Yes. go to b.
b. Is it cold out?
No. go to 2.
Yes. let the tank warm up
and test. (The P.S.I. in a Co2 tank goes down as the temperature goes
down. ) If after the tank is warm and it still wont work go to 2.
2. Loosen the valve screws just a little. Like
a 1/2 or 1 turn on both screws. Then test.
(warning: makes sure the valve is still secure)
a. Did it recock?
NO.
go to 3.
Yes.
The screws you have are to long and were stopping the cupseal from
moving freely. Ether get shorter screws or put some washer behind the
screws you have.
3. Remove the air
for this test .
Now take the main spring out of the gun. Point the
gun down, cock it then fire.
a. Did the hammer go all the way down?
NO.
go to 4.
Yes.
go to 5.
4.
Remove the air for this test
Remove the bolt and again without the main spring
point the gun down , cock and fire with just the hammer in the gun.
a. Did the hammer go all the way down?
No.
Clean the hammer and inside the body. Find what is stopping the hammer
from dropping and fix it so the hammer does drop.
Yes.
The problem is most likely with your bolt check the o-rings make sure
there are no bumps in any of them or that they haven't swelled up. Also
make sure the chock screw is set right for details on this click
here and go about
half way down the page. To
check if they are swelled try putting the bolt only in the body of the
gun if you have a really hard time putting it in then they have swelled
up. Replacing the o-rings should fix your problem.
5. (Make sure your
gun is not aired up when removing or adjusting the valve)
Try cleaning the slots in the center brass part in
the valve and make sure it's screwed in all the way , also change the
hammer o-ring. Now install the valve to the lowest setting. (if you
don't know how to do this see
......adjust
velocity both
Bolt & Valve) put the hammer
and main spring back in the gun air it up and test.
a. Did it work?
No.
go to 6
Yes.
Turn the valve up to the next setting and test again. If it works again
keep turning it up and testing till ether you reach the 12o-clock spot
or it stops working.
6.
(Make sure your gun is not aired up when
removing the valve) Take the valve out of
the gun and remove the valve spring. Put the valve (minus the spring)
hammer and main spring back in the gun and test.
a. Did it work?
No.
go to 7.
Yes.
Ok your valve spring is to hard. Find a liter spring to put in or you
could run with out a spring ( I don't
recommend running the gun with a valve spring but you can do it)
7. The only thing left is the trigger assembly.
Take the whole thing part and clean / lube it. If you don't know how
take a look at ......put
the trigger together . Inspect
the main sear and make sure it's not worn down to much. If it is you
will need to replace it or grid it back to a flat edge.
( As always you do that at your own risk)
also take a look at the 2nd sear if it is worn
down to much then the hammer flies right over it. Never knocking it off
the main sear. Making the gun full auto. If the is the case replace the
2nd sear.
a. Did it
work?
No.
If it's not working now then I'm sorry to say I don't know.
Yes.
Ok go and show all the E-guns the power of the Vm-68.
