Before the start of the game, 2 teams are formed.  Everyone meets at the starting point and is given a playing card.  You look at the card that you got, but don't show it to anyone else. The person that draws the ace of spades is the traitor.  Then you start the game by having the two teams start at opposite ends of the field and work towards each other.  The traitor can make his announcement at any time that he/she is the traitor. Once he/she does so, that person joins the opposite team.  It's pretty fun because you can't really trust anyone.  Usually, when the traitor comes out, the fighting gets pretty intense.
