Review on Willy Pete Paintball’s
Double-Finger Trigger Shoes and Y2K Compliant Trigger guards
By Jeremy “Pokey” Davis
I just recently purchased a
double-finger trigger shoe and a tournament-legal trigger guard for my
VM-68. I bought the parts from Willy Pete Paintball
www.willypete.com. This is my review on the parts, how easy they
were to install, and the service I received from Willy Pete.
The service I received from the company
was pretty good. The parts were sent A.S.A.P. When I received the parts,
they needed a bit of machining before they could be fitted on my marker.
All I used to do this was a Dremel tool with a grinding stone bit. I had to
make the original trigger thinner in order to allow the trigger shoe to
fit. Once I did this, all I had to do was slide the shoe on and tighten the
tiny Allen screws and it worked great. The trigger guard was bent a little
to the side, but I managed to straighten it out.
The parts were a little rough when I got
them, however, with a little ingenuity, and some rotary tools, these two
items from Willy Pete Paintball became a blessing. I highly recommend
trying these out, you’ll love them. However, if you’re not so experienced
in machining, I would recommend you send Willy Pete the gun to put the parts
on themselves; that way if something’s broken, they repair it, and not you.
